Talofa lava! I am Virginia Dempsey, a pacific sister currently based in Auckland New Zeaand

It has been a dream to start an additional clothing line with the name "Lalelei Sister", an extension of a shared passion with my beloved sister so long ago, remade into a vision I can call my own.

I am a Samoan woman, raised with the culture and traditional values my people hold dear, in a rapidly changing world that will always be evolving with time.

It was at times challenging, trying to find who I was, in a world that taught me "the modern way" was the way to go, with a family that never failed to remind me,  "the traditional way" would always be my saving grace.

Today I am in love with my culture and fiercely proud of who I have become, through all the struggles and challenges I have faced growing up as a brown skinned girl in Rewa.

I want Lalelei Sister to portray this through couture based attire with hints and splashes of traditional design incorporated in a way that does not override or take away from the elegance of it's modern design, just as how I have learnt to blend both my culture and traditions with my slightly modernized outlook on life in a perfect balance.

Lalelei Sister is my call to all the other ladies out there who are feeling out of place, to break down barriers, to strive for greatness no matter what anyone tells you !

"confidence", "identity" and "self-love"

to mind, it will be a bond between sisters that will serve as a reminder that I am here for you, just as you will be there for me through thicc and thin, because hey,
